NYSE summation index rolled over. Reading is now 3051, down from 3063. I was looking for history and summation index use to rollover for nasdaq, nyse, spx and dow together or at a week difference. This time, nasdaq rolled over a month back, today nyse rolled over. For spx and dow, it could rollover next week (as delta for this week is very small). Strange times.
ReplyDeleteVarun: Thank you for your timely observations. No surprise that things seem to be behaving erratically particularly between market sectors. The actual summation 50ma [weekly] does not print until the week end so the intra-week can flip around until then. However, in this case, the intra-week reading may continue to decline and may confirm by week end along with a market decline towards a pivot low. Stuart
DeleteWhat I noticed is that readings are updated on Monday after 3 PM PST for the previous week. Summation index reading of 3051 is for last week and next update will happen on 24th May.
